Will short action 2 piece bases fit properly on a long action remington 700. I'm using burris signature rings.

They should screw into either, but I think they (the A114 SA and the A111 LA) are 20 moa bases and therefore not interchangeable. The 20 moa is dependent on the proper spacing between the sets of front and rear screw holes, which of course varies between SA and LA receivers.

If the centres for each base are the same and I assume they would be then they will work with the Signature rings. I've used bases with different front and rear centre spacings to what they were designed for and the movement inherent in the inner ring design allows them to swivel slightly to take up the difference. These were two piece SA Savage bases on custom actions with the same action diameter and screw hole spacing for each base.

Not to hi-Jack this thread but, were the NF 2-piece bases for Rem 700/40X available in both 0 MOA and 20 MOA?

The reason that I ask is, I have a pair that I want to sell, and they are only marked FT on one and NF/RS on the other. Thanks!

I don't know. I could use either 0 or 20 moa. Do 40x bases fit regular 700 receivers, I would think so but not sure. If we find yours will fit remington 700s let me know what you want for them.

I have the same set on a 40X and they are definitely 20MOA.

I just checked an old Sinclair catalogue from 2012 and they only listed 20MOA bases for SA & LA Remington and Savage in two piece configuration

I don't know. I could use either 0 or 20 moa. Do 40x bases fit regular 700 receivers, I would think so but not sure. If we find yours will fit remington 700s let me know what you want for them.

Yes, the 40X bases are the same as SA700
