Shooting 100-1000 yards with old eyes:) how many shooters have looked thru the Sightron and compared to the Nightforce?
I own a couple of Nightforces and many Leupolds.
Thank you CSLR grandpa

My 22LR bench rest guns both have Sightron, one a S3 PLR 10-50 with MOA-2 reticle and the other is a SV ED 10-50 with same reticle. The SV is 1/8 MOA clicks but the PLR is 1/4 clicks. I'm not sure I even notice the difference at short ranges of 22LR matches.
All my LR BR rifles wear 15-55 Comps (a mix of DDR-2 and FCR-1).
I dropped a 17# rifle and the NF Comp took all the force of the hit on concrete. I rezeroed the scope and shot 16 targets at 600 yards that weekend. Finished 3rd in the Two Gun both matches. Although the tube took a beating, the sun shade was warped and the elevation turret was visibly bent forward NF charged me $200 for repair and had it back to me in under 5 days. I am not sure what Sightron would have done.

I put a s3 6x24 on a 11# 338 edge. Shooting 250-290's. Sent the scope back twice. Second time got a call "what are you doing to this scope"? Told him and said this should never happen and sent me a new scope. Ready to try it any weekend now. In the meantime I put a NF BR 12-42 for load development everything worked fine. So far Sierra gamekings 250gr. 5/8"@200 yds 5 shots.

What NF scopes do you have? So we can compare.
The NF comp. is what all others are usually compared against. If that tells you something.
They are one of the brightest in that field.
What reticles are you using and are you having a hard time seeing the fine dots or lines?
Choosing the right reticle might be just as important as scope, if your having problems.

Ranger188 yes fine dots are getting harder especially mid afternoon with the heat. I’ve always had excellent eye sight, i wasn’t used to struggling with the blur.
I just got a new set of glasses told my doctor that wasn’t happy with not being able to see better without the glasses at a distance, she fixed that all good on the glasses.
I’ve got a 8x32 NXS with a dot and a 4x32 with MOAR CF2D

I had a chance to do a side by side comparison of my Sightron 10X50 and a NF Comp when they first came out at the SWN's I felt the NF was slightly clearer but stuck with the Sightron, as I could see the rings clearly until mirage got real bad and then I would drop down to 35-40X and they cleared up. I wish I could justify the cost of a NF but I just can't. Best of luck, you will not be disappointed.

I set Up the Nightforce 15-55 yesterday shot it today very happy with being able to see the 1/2” circle of a benchrest target at 200 yards.
I put the 4x32 Nightforce on a tri pod to compare and the extra magnification of the 15-55 is great. New glasses didn’t hurt anything either! Very happy
Eurooptics had the NF scope and rings on my doorstep in 31 hrs from when I ordered them, Pa.-Ca. Great service.
