SIII Long Range 8-32x56
Built for precision target shooting applications up to and exceeding 1000 yards. The Sightron SIII 8-32x56 Long Range rifle scope delivers superior optics and accuracy when it counts.sightron.com
Yes you’re right getting older memory isn’t what it used to be so I write down hold over and tape it to my stock .If you're dialing I'd stay with the NF because when it comes to tracking, returning to and holding a zero, NF is rock solid and second to none but if you're holdover shooting and just want to use the reticle I'm sure there are numerous scopes out there that'll get you in to a lighter weight optic I'd just make sure whatever you decide on is known for holding zero.
I believe one of the site sponsors just listed a sale he is having on Sitrons, I thought I saw it yesterday.Ok thanks heard good things about them scopes .
I have both. This is what I used when my rifle wouldn't make LG weight with a Nightforce.

My bad, I just realized the OP has a NX8, my mind saw NXS that's why I mentioned the Sightron, the NXS's are around 34 ozs.
Sucks getting old.
How about Zeiss ?The OP's original add says NXS on my computer.
Just sayin'.
How about Zeiss ?
Wrong. Every NF I returned was for tracking issues. All scopes can have this problem. This is a fake news statement. I ran 4 GEs for several years shooting multiple distances, never had an issue. Does this mean Vortex never fails in this issue. Of course not. All manufactured products experience failures, Same with all brands. If you're dialing I'd stay with the NF because when it comes to tracking, returning to and holding a zero, NF is rock solid and second to none but if you're holdover shooting and just want to use the reticle I'm sure there are numerous scopes out there that'll get you in to a lighter weight optic I'd just make sure whatever you decide on is known for holding zero.

Yes, what is important is how the builder stands behind their product. Since I have gotten into airguns I have seen a lot of brands of scopes in the 500.00 range that I never heard of. Are the optics as good as our 3000.00 scopes. Technically no, but in 95% of shooting they will suffice. I have gotten a real education on overkill. And on springers they are getting abused more so than on most pbs( powder burners). Now can you see bullets 6mm holes at 500 yds with these, I don't know because none of mine go over 24x. But I just put one on a 22br I hunt groundhogs and I bet for that purpose it works fine, I will report. In the last couple years Chinese optics have come a long ways but some of these scopes come from Japan and the Philippines. I remember just a few years ago shooters laughing at Accurate Powders. I know I tried to sell some at a Natl Event, guys laughed. Now all of a sudden it's just fine. Perceptions.Spot on jeffppc all products have problems .
