Night force competition vs br model

Any one know the difference between the comp and br models? The comp model has a higher power than the br and was wondering why it isn't the other way around.. Thank you sirs

The price for one 'O)
The BR has a 56 MM obj, and the Comp has a 52 MM obj..........
Most BR shooters don't need more power than the BR's provide..........

The BR model has been around for yrs, the Comp is new this yr. One of the complaints many of us who shoot in classes where we are weight limited has been that the NF scopes are too heavy. A NF BR weighs in at over 32 oz. In the last couple of yrs March has started making inroads in to the NF market in F class. Three yrs ago almost every serious F class shooter was shooting a NF. Last yr there were several guys running March, and there are more this yr. March gave higher magnification (they have a 50x and an 80x) at about 25 oz (maybe less) When you are building rifles with 30+ inch barrels that's a ton of weight savings that can be put into more or heavier barrel or into adjustability of your stock, or a more stable bipod for F-TR.

I'm pretty sure NF saw the trend and came out with a lighter scope with a higher magnification and better glass (March has fantastic glass).

I haven't used the new NF but the only miss I see is that there is only 5 MOA per revolution on the windage turret. If you are shooting at Raton or at Camp Perry or some other place with big winds you can get close to 2 turns (or more) on your windage knob if you dial, which can get you really lost if there is a let off of a switch and you have to remember how many turns you have on, or you go into your next match a full turn off of your windage zero (been there done that with a BR with 6moa per turn on the windage turret)
