That sounds like a fast way to wareout a barrel
Why would you want nickle jacketed bullets?
Nickel used to be a bullet jacket until people realised that gilding metal caused a lot less fouling than nickel jacketed bullets.

I like to call the Starline nickel plated cases, "Lone Rangers", although they are tecnically not silver bullets, they're more like silver cases. Maybe they'll kill werewolves ?The Loan Ranger is not happy w jerky

I like brass,copper,zinc if I have to deal with werwolfs I think a good varmint bullet will still do the job even if it takes a few in quick work.
In any case I would like to make my barrels last as long as they can with these components.
Nickel is very hard stuff I think that is why inconel is so hard to use , not because of other components I have worked with a bunch of the stuff and I will not put that kind of stuff through my barrels regardless of trends or whatever gets people to buy it.
Not trying to be a ass just what I have learned silver is hard also maybe not as bad but close.
I a hole through a military bullet once for someone and that metal was way harder then you would want to go through your barrel and that is probably why all those mauser and a1s barrels are hammered when we got them.
Steel core or steel body bad.
Ya it will go right through stuff.
What is the payoff .

Those were silver bullets, not nickle. Then again, silver would be REALLY hard on a barrel also, and would cause some serious pressure spikes.The Loan Ranger is not happy w jerky

Would probably have to have a bore rider with a driving band, like an artillery shell, for a silver bullet to work. Think you would have to machine them because of the high casting temp
