nickle 223 brass ?

While searching for some 1X /bulk 223 brass for a 300 Whisper project I came across some FC & LC nickle 223 brass with crimped primers My first thought was WHY nickle plate military [crimped primers].
Does anyone have any insight into WHY FC & LC made military brass shinny ??
and does anyone hove any experence with either of these ??
