Butch is to modest to say it but, buy you some kind of cast iron base. Call Butch and tell him what you have and get him to send you one of his shade tree tops. You will have a front rest that won't hold you back and if later you want to upgrade you can sell it for more than you paid.

I just read that Butch shot a .082 group in a BR competition last week in Seymour TX. There’s the proof in the pudding on his rests right there!

Tony Boyer won the most of his Hall of Fame points shooting off a non adjustable front rest . He was a bag squeezer. He does use a joystick rest now.

Take a look at Bruno's website. Yesterday I saw they were advertising a nice USED Sinclair BR Rest at a very reasonable price....as I remember something like $495 that comes with a load bullet holder...nice rest for sure.

I was told the bullet holder is for PPC cases.

If you don't want to $$$ for a SEB, but want an adjustable front rest, I highly recommend a Bald Eagle with a Shadetree joystick top. I shot my first match with one 3 days ago, first match with a real F-class rifle, and was on the cusp of high master scores. Points dropped were all on me and I felt nothing came from the rest -- which was not what I would have said shooting the Bald Eagle with the factory cable driven windage adjustment.

Either sell the caseholder or drill the holes out a tad

Thanks for all the great info, advice and leads. I have made up my mind to either go with a Randolph or Sinclair Competition. Please let if you have one you would consider selling or know of one for sale. Again thanks members
