just purchased a 22", 1-14,.262 neck barrel with dies and new 220 Russian brass formed to 6ppc. brass necks are .268,.014 thick , 70gr. bullets .243.when loaded the size is .270. won't fit the chamber of course but what is the best route to go? Turn the necks or ream the chamber to a no turn neck? I hate the idea of thinning the necks on the new brass, but are the larger chambers still accurate? Will the brass wear out much faster when thinned this much? How about reaming the inside neck some?Have no experience at neck turning yet but have an RCBS turner.Any info. would be graciously appreciated.
