New truck time- looking for a raptor.

Anybody have a ford raptor for sale used? I finally got my duramax out of the shop and my pocket is $6k lighter, so i have a nice 2013 ltz duramax 2500hd for sale with a very clean bill of health and full service just completed if anybody is looking. Got brand new toyo AT3 tires on it.

Have you tried a search on sites such as Autotrader dot com? I had success locating my current truck that way. Might be worth a try

Why would you downgrade? My Duramax has right at 320,000 miles on it and other the price of diesel, I see nothing better.
Your duramax doesnt have a def system or a cp4 fuel pump. I loved my pre-def duramaxes. I put exactly 253mi on mine in the past 11mo so a diesel is nothing but a problem if you dont drive it, from the 2 huge batteries i had to replace, the crystallized def system and algaed up fuel i just cant do it anymore. My truck is nice, its got every option, 93,000mi and dont even have a door ding on it.

But it's been a POS to you. Just why I said FU to gm for 30 years.

If you want something that’s actually fast and fun, Get a Ram TRX. You’ll thank me later ;)

BTW, the tow rating on off-road capable trucks is only about 7k lbs so they are basically just really fancy and expensive toys
And take premium fuel, their resale is about 90 to 95% of purchase price...good fun for a year or two.

My son has had 2 of the twin turbo Ford V6 trucks, with nothing but problem. So study into everything before you buy. I run a newer Nissan Titan and love it! Almost 400hp like the Tundra and hemi Ram, but I get 24-27 mpg. It’s not very heavy duty, but I’ve hauled 1500 lbs it the box several times.
Love my twin turbo V6 F150. Good fuel mileage, great power, tons of room, rides great and so far no problems.

I've pushed parts part time for 22 years. ALL vehicles are junk. There is not really one better than another. Get what you want. I'm a Ford man but they make junk too. They've had several fiascos they should have been sued over but yet if I buy a new something it'll probably be a Ford. GM? Crap. Ford? Crap. Dodge/Mopar? Crap. Don't get me started on Toyota I'll start cussing and have to repent. Although it seems like people don't ask for too many KIA parts come to think of it. People seem to have a brand loyalty and will turn a blind eye to the short comings especially if they own that model. Just drive what you want or buy new and trade before warranty runs out (note: I cannot do that). Edit: my Honda has been pretty good but it has some issues as well that Honda should have fixed.

Diesel smoke, smells like money to a mechanic. Diesels feed a lot of mechanic's and service tech's families. (Edit: I believe most of their problems stem from gov. regulation and unrealistic mpg requirements burdening car manufacturers)

Exactly. It is the emissions regulations more so than mpg requirements. Diesels in the 90's and early 2000's were extremely dependable, long lasting, and got very respectable fuel mileage. Then came EGR and eventually DPF requirements that choked the life out of them. They have come a long way in the last 10 years but now are far too complex and expensive. They really screwed up a great thing.
