New to me barrel break-in

I used to do the one shot and clean thing, about 5 years ago I stopped, now I dont treat a new barrel any different than a used one. They still break in, you can stop that from happening. Plus the real break in takes about 150 rounds anyhow.

Yes. Seems to work. But honestly the late Gale McMillan probably had the best take on the barrel break-in process.

I am going to have to step in a give a serious talk to ALL that have replied to this thread.

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING???

You should DEFINITELY be breaking in EVERY barrel that lands in your hands. WHY?

Because you should purchase three or four NEW barrels to go to the range, so they have time to cool between rounds!!!!

Full disclosure, I ran a patch or two of colloidal graphite suspended in IPA prior to firing this and every new barrel. Its my last step in barrel cleaning as well.
