I just bought my first 6mm br a used remington 40x. I need some help working up a load, the information is geting to me. I have re-loaded .308 for too long i guess. The rifle is a 40x built around 1999-2000 factory 27" 1 in 9 twist. what is the lightest and heaviest bullet i can shoot. The previuos owner had great results with h322. Any thoughts? Sugestions?

The 9 tw should shoot every bullet but the 105 Berger, it takes a 8tw. Your gun will shoot 65 gr to 108 gr Berger. I like N135 for the light bullets. Varget or RL15 for the anything over 80gr. Search this site for all the load info you need.
I guess Your chamber will be a Remington chamber with the shorter neck. 1.520". the Lapua brass will have the 1.560" neck. All you will need to do is trim to 1.520" and use a small base F/L die.

New to the Forum... New to 6mm br... Well July 1st will be the day when my 15 tortured days of waiting is finally over. I will have in my possession my new 6mm BR. At first I plan to purchase preloaded ammo but opt to start reloading my own. And since I am new to reloading ammo's for my 6mm br any suggestion from all of you will be greatly appreciated. I will also look into the forums for ideas and suggestion, 100 rounds of Lapua brass is all I plan to have for not until i start getting the hang of this new rifle. Well that's all for now.. Yes it is the original barrel as per the original owner and the markings on the barrel. A quick check with a cleaning rod and jag would leave me believing 1:9. I also,because of my ocd tendencies) called Remington and gave them the serial number and got the production date and twist. 1 in 9 1/8 built in 1999 and supposedly it is the longer neck. Again i will check for myself. RL-15 I assume is Reloader 15? Have had great luck with it in other loads. Thank you all for the suggestions and input.

These days, I actually recommend starting with 29.0 grains of Varget or Reloder 15 with the 105s, now that hot summer weather is here. Some lots of powder are "hotter" than others, and some barrels generate more pressure. 30.5 grains can be a max load in one 6BR and a mild load in another.
