$75.00 for die and $4.00 shipping.Don't know where you get 79.00 they are still 75.00 30 seconds ago........ Jim
That works too. My gun was already built and I was going to have a custom Whidden die made to my FF brass , but then I heard about Harrel's dies and decided to try one.You assumed he made a special die for for each off the wall reamer. I went the other way I had a reamer made to fit the Dasher D3 die. Simple but effective ...... Jim
The 6SLR seems like a good option (since we are throwing around well designed 6mm's ). The brass is real easy to form with plenty of neck, hardly any recoil and real fast with out killing barrels. I brought my long time friend (25yrs.) and simth to Williamsport for his 1st time shooting at 1K with a 6SLR he a gotten together just days before to make weight. Finished load development at the range then took i believe 2nd over all. The next week he took it to Reade and won that in a shoot out. Is the 6SLR considered in the conversation when talking about highly competitive 1K 6mm's or are there some drawbacks i am not seeing?
Anything bigger than the dasher gives up raw accuracy. One of the reasons I wanted to try the BRA, and its even better than the dasher. I have watch the 6x47 and others try and win with speed. It may work some days in tough conditions, but they wont agg with the smaller cases. The 6SLR seems like a good option (since we are throwing around well designed 6mm's ). Thanks for the response. Makes sense to me. I am pretty new to all this & the one thing that seems some what constant across many cartridges is that the 2950 to 3050 ( generally ) seems to be the sweet spot at the end of load development. I have been spending some hours talking to G.Rogers from up you way and always once during our conversation he says " whats it going to take to get you into a Dasher". Keep up the good work Alex....The stock you did for me tracks like a dream......![]()
