Hello folks. I am about to enter the world of 300prc. I'm having a rifle rebarreled for it. Any thoughts on components and loading?
Thanks

I'm going for a do-all rifle, LR steel and hunting. Thinking 24-26" barrel, heavy contour, 1-8 or 1-8.5 twist for the heavier bullets. No real goals i suppose, but I like shooting at plates a long ways away.Barrel specs and goal?
2850 to 2950What's typical speeds for a 26" 215s/H1000?
230 Berger and a full case of N570. My reamer is slightly different so loads wont be the same but just north of 82 grains, but work up to it. 250 cci primer and .005" nt in ADG brass hammered, Really small.Hello folks. I'm using a Bartlein 9T in my 300 PRC and shooting the Berger 245 LRHT at 2880. It shoots great out to 2500 yards.9 twist will be ideal. don't need 8-8.5 on the 300PRC IMO. unless you are going to venture into the Berger 245, then the 8.5 will get you there.
My 2 cents for whatever it's worth.
Have you noticed a difference in SDs between .005 NT and .002 NT?230 Berger and a full case of N570. My reamer is slightly different so loads wont be the same but just north of 82 grains, but work up to it. 250 cci primer and .005" nt in ADG brass hammered, Really small.
Thank you Alex. What twist rate have you had the best luck with? Also, what do you mean by .005 nt in?230 Berger and a full case of N570.
