"New" Sinclair Bipod (adjustable) Where Is it??

I got the Sinclair spring flyer a few months back, and on the back page the 'new' Sinclair F-class adjustable bipod is advertised. It says "available August 1st. - order yours today!". I tried contacting them about it, and it seems the guys on that end don't know what I'm talking about. :P

Any one 'in the know' on when this guy is really going to be released, and what are the problems that are being encountered that is holding them back? ???

Thanks guys..

I got tired of waiting and got the Centershot, which now has a much lower price ($299) that is more in line with the Sinclair.

Is the center shot the lone that looks like a jack?

Yeah I guess so. Though not a "scissor jack":

I'm also not so keen on how with the Sinclair you can only adjust cant by adjusting the up/down adjustment on each leg, whereas this has a cant adjustment similar to a Harris S or Atlas. On the other hand, the Sinclair is a constant width whereas with this design (and the Rempel which presumably inspired it), the width changes as you adjust the elevation.

Nice!

How easy (or hard) is it to remove from the rail of the rifle? Is it easy to slide off and replace, in the same position, for moving from yardline to yardline?

You're right. After a closer examination I was mistaken.

It came with a hex nut to attach to the rail. Though you can replace it with something else I suppose

I signed up months ago for a notification about when they would start taking backorders. Yep, a backorder, backorder list. Anyway, I got the notification early this week that they are in production, and looking at shipping in October. Don't know any more than that, well, the list price on them is $249.95 including the new elevation adjustment...

so, i have been on the backorder list for a month and a half. is anyone here close with someone at sinclair that can find out whats going on with the bipod?
it seems to just keep getting pushed back. :(

Have on order a third generation adjustable bipod have received THREE ORDER CONFIRMATION'S on #749-013-031 F-Class Bipod w/Quick-Adjust Elevation in matt black so am sitting here waiting for the Big Brown Truck hope by Christmas.

Just a word of caution about this bi-pod. I tore the studs out of two rifles using it. It is apparently to heavy for recoil on some guns. I have not contacted Sinclair about this because i didn't figure it would do any good any way. Seems to be ok on heavy light recoil gun however. ED

was it the original bipod or 2nd gen?
what caliber/ cartridge were you shooting?
were your studs just threaded into wood or were they nut-serted?
if you have the 2nd gen and you would like to sell it, please pm me bc i am getting tired of waiting

Received notification yesterday from Sinclair that my pre-order shipped and should be here tomorrow.

This was the original version that tore out the studs. One was a 300 win mag with a nut to hold the stud. The other was a 30-06 with stud screwed in. Less than 20 rounds with each and studs were tore loose. Standard weight hunting rifles. ED

ed K Sorry to hear you had issues with yours!

Seen a few of the new version used in competition and have not seen or heard any negatives from the owners and one of them is a High Master/National Champ and some of the reason why I purchased mine; had the older version, just thought the elevation would be a good addition, without having to mess with leg adjustments. Mines going on an Eliseo B1 stock.
I'll report any issues, however, don't expect any.

It'll get a trial run on Saturday at a 3x600 mid range match ;D
