New Sightron 10-50X60 Who will sell them, when will they get them, and Price?

Re: New Sightron 10-50X60 Who will sell them, when will they get them, and Price

Midway USA has the SIII 10-50x listed at a sticker price of $994.99, but in coming soon status

Yes, SWFA lists them too however the date of arrival keeps getting bumped up. Perhaps some of the dealers can chime in with more info?

Larry Scott was taking orders in Oct for the first shipment....it seems to have moved back some more, I haven't seen one of his posts with updates in awhile.

I called the sales rep. and he said they sould be out for the Shot Show......

Mike I quit posting because I'm worn out on the subject, and there is nothing to report. The best thing that Sightron could have done on this project after the first date change is say we dont know, and quit leading the public done the garden path. It seems to make no difference as to how much I post and what I say, people will be people and have to ask?? In my DATED ad it clearly states I have no other information, plain and to the point, but no one seems to believe it. Larry in western ky.

Larry,
It is better to have the phone ringing than not....
You sell a product that is obviously in demand.
Be patient,
Scott

Larry and others,

If you watch the video in the Daily Bulletin on this site with the 10-50 from Sightron, Allen Orr of Sightron states:
"We have more demand than the first shipment, and additional shipments are on the way".
That would leave one to believe that the first shipment is already here, and multiple others are inbound and in route.
Larry, I did not ask for you specifically as a dealer to comment, but for any dealer who might have knowledge to comment. I am sorry that you are worn out on the subject, however your post leads one to believe that you are tired of answering questions regarding this scope, and would prefer not to be bothered further. In doing so potential buyers who may read this may decide to shop elsewhere for the product.
It is unfortunate that Sightron is playing this game since thier dates keep changing monthly, and also leads one to doubt what they are saying at this point.
Perhaps, I should just stick with Nightforce since they are willing to tell thier potential customers what will be available and when.

As a post script to the above I e-mailed Sightron right after I posted it to ask the status on the various shipments and which dealers have or will recieve them first. When or if I get a reply I'll post it here.

Danny, There are people who ask questions, and then there are people who buy. Most buyers have done their homework in advance, and ask very few questions. I have a very simple process to purchase this scope; the buyer puts up a deposit(cash or credit card), that insures him a scope when available, and then we both wait. The company obviously cant give anyone a correct due date, my supplier can only tell me when he has product under his roof, so that leads us back to square one, no one knows anything, and I'm sitting in the middle to field questions for months w/no answers. Larry in western Ky.

Larry,

Yes ,I can understand your frustration with answering questions from those that haven't commited with a deposit. However there are a lot of guys on the fence out there that haven't made up thier mind yet. A guy that's in the market for a scope for the begining of the spring shooting season seeing the bumping up of availibility dates is probably a little nervous about putting down a deposit on a scope that may or may not be here when he needs it. He's got a date in his head when he needs it, and when that date comes he's going to buy something else if the one he really wants is still in limbo somewhere.
I know you are weary answering questions, and I sympathize, however that's part of retail sales. You take the bad with the good.
You're a stand up guy who offers good products at very fair prices and we all appreciate that. Hopefully Sightron will get thier act together and maybe read some of the comments on this and other message boards and take note.

I was one of those question askers on the fence. I finally sent an email to Sightron asking about other reticle choices and then posted the results. My post was deleted along with the original thread. I bought a Nightforce 8-32x56 and don't regret it. Sightron lost a customer.....actually 2 maybe 3 customers because I'm about to order 2 more.

.

Japan is a long ways away and sailing ships depend on unpredictable winds.

Storms can be rough and cause glass breakage in transit across the ocean.

We must be patient.

This should be no suprise to us . They did the same thing when they brought out the Sightron 8x32x56. A bunch of hype and then the scopes trickeled in slowly. I bought Nightforce.

Earlier this week, I called Sightron, and they told me that the NEW models were being checked at "quality control." I obviously don't know if this is true, but thats the answer the lady gave me. ???

Hello Larry, I just joined the forum but I did want to say that I do appreciate the time & effort that you've put forth on this matter & I am one of the folks who have put the deposit down & I'm "all-in" even if the wait is longer that we'd all like it to be. - Best Regards, Ron

Thanks Ron for the comments and support. You did it the right way and got on the list. If the company happens to follow the pattern of sales of the 8-32 and trickle in, the list is the only option for getting one early on. Larry in western Ky.

Well, thanks to another poster we now know the new Sightrons are available at Midway right now. Sightron never replied to my e-mail questions so that leads me to believe that they really don't care if I'm a customer or not, which makes me wonder if I were and had a problem with the scope would I get the same response.
I know, some of you will say "They are busy, can't reply to every e-mail, yada, yada, yada." If that is so then they should just eliminate the contact info from thier website if they can't reply to e-mail questions.
I was on the fence about buying one, but think I'll pass now.

Oh, and FYI the same day I e-mailed Sightron I sent an e-mail to Nightforce with a question. They replied to me in less than 24 hours.

Danny

Hopefully, the reason Sightron is not answering their mail is because they are too busy shipping scopes.
