New RCBS RockChucker Press question…

I’ve owned a pile of presses and this is my 1st RC and it’s super tight which is a pleasant surprise…. But noticed a small step in the ram…. Is this normal?! I’ve seen similar pics online.

Older ones, I’m guessing, are one piece. Mine is not like that. Now I want to open the newer, SHTF boxes, and check them out.

so is the ram one piece or is is screwed together at that point?
the top couple inches (toward shellholder) of ram dont contact the hole in casting?
i havent seen seen butt wonder why also

It’s one piece….. .02 step roughly 2.0” long just like this one I saw a pic of.it has all the contact a fella could want throughout the body of the press so doesn’t effect presses effectiveness…
