im new to this forum but I learn a lot from this site since a couple of months.

And sorry for my english im french.

So here is my question. I'm building a new project. I got a remington sps varmint 22-250, I change the original stock for a bell&carlson varmint/medalist. Now I want to change the original barrel for a 30" krieger. What twist rate will be the better for a 6mmbr??

Most people use 1-8" to shoot the 105-107 grain and lighter bullets.

What bullet are you planning on shooting and at what distance?

Bonjour, and it is great to have our european brothers on this sight.I shoot the light 68 grain flat base bullets and the twist rate is 1 in 14.It works real well.I shoot groups less than.100 of an inch. I use hart barrels and love them.They clean up real easy and just plain shoot good. Are you shooting under 600 meters or do you shoot 1000 meters? This is the question in order to pick the correct twist rate.

The quick and dirty way is to just look at the bullets at the Berger site below, and decide which bullets you want to shoot. Berger gives recommended twist for each bullet.
