New member and?

Hi new member hear. I shoot 223 22-250 30-06 22 44mag 45 1911s.
I stumbled across this great forum the other day. Great sight.

I have a spare Rem 22-250 and was thinking of a changing the barrel out to a 243 barrel chambered for 6mmbr. The 243 is a brand new Rem takeoff. Is there enough meat to rechamber this? Will it have to be set back and rethreaded or can one just run the new reamer in. This will be intended for a varmint gun.
Thanks for your input.
Stephen

Hey thanks Castshooter thats exactly what I was looking for. I am going to attempt this myself as a first. I have all the equipment lathe CNC mill dividing head heat treating equip, to do it just a matter of time.

Does anyone have link for the specks for the the round that I can base the reamer off of, or the reamer specks. I hear

I just found out what twist 9 1/8. How heavy can this shoot?

Thanks for the help.
Stephen

Thanks CATSHOOTER
I started making a barrel vice to remove the 22 barrel tonight.
I'm sure you will see more questions in the future as things come together.

Soory bout the CASTSHOOTER.

As catshooter says, the 75 vmax is a deadly bullet out of the 6br. It is my choice for coyotes. I shoot a 12 twist. I prefer a case that has more "poop" for anything heavier than this bullet, speaking from a varmint/preditor rig perspective.
