New Polar action

Can some one give me help with this action. Are these good actions? I just got a new Polar with two bolts one 222 face an one PPC.

Stolle Polar actions haven't been made for quite some time. They are very good actions. Unless the length has been modified should be about 14-15" long. If you call Kelblys in Ohio they are the manufacture, they can provide you with tenon length, diameter and they are 18 threads per inch. The first 2 digits of the serial number is the year it was made the balance of the serial number is the sequence number of quantity manufactured that year. They were available with single ports or dual ports, and square tang or tapered tangs. Some had a series of cooling ports in the top of the action, and some had none. The fact that you found one with two bolts is great. I don't have my sheets on dimensions with me or I would give you all the details. Hope you got a good deal on it.

It appears to be the first one made in the 2000 series. As stated above, a very nice find having two bolts as well.

Another bit of info, the dual port models did not eject the case, however if it has 2 ports you can send the bolts and the bolt release and they will modify the bolts and the bolt release lever so it will have mechanical ejection. They charge $75.00 per bolt! I just sold my Hasecuster rail that had the dual port Polar action that was made in 1989!

Hi, you've struck gold there!
Polars re not common, especially finding one with two bolts.
They make an excellent big, strong & stiff basis for any precision rifle, where weight isn't a problem. There are not too many stocks that will comfortably accommodate them, you may consider the Manners MCS-L50, it is in proportion to the action.
When polished up, the Polars look pretty impressive too.
Best of luck with yours!
