Not sure if I missed it, but typically I find a New Member Intro thread. If I missed it, please merge this post into it.

I'm new here, just a couple days. Joined on a recommendation from another member.

I shoot my Anschutz 1813 competitively in the local matches at 50 yards on the Green Monster target. I've done decent several times, but I need to work on my consistency. They won't let me use a machine rest so I have to use some stupid sandbags on top of a wobbly wooden thing. Either that or a bipod, which I hate.

I'm also starting to get my feet wet with reloading for my Rem 700 in .308. Shoot it at the local range out to 300 yards. Everybody has wind flags, so once I get a decent load, I need to start learning how to read the wind.

Glad to have you aboard. You'll find tons of great information here and a bunch of very knowledgeable members, most of whom are willing to help with any questions or problems you may have. Sometimes you may have to sort through it a little, if you know what I mean, but tons of information.

Welcome. I still feel kinda new myself after a year and some. Lots of knowledge here, don't be afraid to tell some of these folks to speak new guy. There be deep gun nerds here that use nonsensical words like OCW, round robin and boogerhook - OK, I use boogerhook, but it does get quite technical at times.

If you are shooting new to a guy with wind flags out make a friend. He is probably not an amateur. Have fun.
