I'm sure... I only recently realized that there is even a universe to be seen! I went from being excited about 2 minute groups with AR's, to shooting empty 6.5 brass and golf tees at 150 yards and 3 inch steel plates at 500 yards... and getting board doing it. I wish I knew about it sooner.

Just found this forum and am surprised I didn't find it way sooner. After looking through it, it looks like a great place to pick up a lot of good info for expanding my knowledge for precision shooting (a hobby I only took up almost 3 years ago).
Am an old retired guy, a Nam Vet, and on limited income, but with a lot of time on hand. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, precision shooting and loading has been a good fit. Though I tend to be at the low end of the $$$ to spend scale.
Having learned a lot in the last three years, though a long time shooter, am looking forward to learning much more.

You're right about the thick skin. Mine has always been rather thick (or maybe that just my head) and skin has grown even thicker since the day's I started participating in forums in the late 80's with AOL.

Why are you called Spaz?
How old are your grandchildren?
Are they of shooting age? That being 12 years old.
One of our grand DAUGHTERs started shooting at 12 years of age and became National Junior Bench Rest Champion. That’s about the same age one of our grand SONs started shooting a few years later and he was also Junior National Bench Rest Champion. My point is that the future is the little ones. I’ve also been National Bench Rest Champion in Hunter Class but my most revered plaque is one presented to me by the late, great Ron Hoehn for my contributions in supplying my grand children with a rifle, primers, powder, cases, and bullets for the Nationals. Competition, to me, is the best barometer of how well you are shooting because you are pitted against others with identical conditions and your results are there for you to see in real time. Also, at a competitive match is the good place to get good info and, shall I say, buy equipment. Now, if competition isn’t your thing god back to where I said the future is in the little ones and delete all after that point.
