New JoyPod Gen 3, any operational suggestions?

Thanks Seb, appreciate you chiming in here. I think you and Dan have truly put together a winning combination. Judging by your comments towards each other, I am happy to do business with each of you. I look forward to using your designs together.
Thank you.

The difference in weight between Seb Joypod ski feet and Dan's swivel ski feet modification is Dan's are one ounce heavier. Looking forward to the modification. Hopefully weather will improve in Chicago area for testing.

My F/TR .308 shoots and tracks great with standard SEB Joy-Pod feet on the sand filled Pod Pad. stays on my target after every shot. don't see the need for these feet at all

Seb makes first class products. This is just another option for shooters. And if you are absolutely satisfied with the current feet on the joypod, that's great.

The only reason I ask Dan to come up with an alternative for me to the current feet. I use carpet for my joypod to ride on, and at many different ranges I was having trouble with getting my carpet level, so the joypod would track level and straight. With the new longer and feet that pivot, it's not as critical to have it perfectly level now. They work for me! And I'll be adding them to my second joypod.

Yes, and I even had a custom one made that was filled with sand. For me personally... I didn't like either one. I've tried board's with slick material, thick rubber mats and a 24"X12" piece of stainless steel with material for the feet to run on. For me personally, the best that I've used to this point... Is a 24"X24" cheap tight woven carpet cut in half and sew it together for a 24"X 12" piece. For me, this has the right amount of resistance for the joypod with either set of feet.

I have also tried using a Harris bipod, Atlas bipod, Sinclair gen 3 bipod, Star shooter bipod. Received my first joypod a few years ago, after I was using the Star shooter. Went back to the Star shooter for a while, and I went back to the joypod and haven't looked back.

I received my Skis from Dan on Saturday and installed them tonight. I had measured the resistance of my gun moving in my range setup before with my trigger gauge. Before I installed Dan's skis, it took 6 lbs of force to move the rifle back, simulating the resistance in recoil. Afterwards a total of 4.5 lbs. definitely an improvement that should result in a smoother recoil which may provide less chance of the recoil pushing the round off target. Also, it should also result in a return to target.
Obviously, I haven't had the opportunity to try the setup at the range to see how it performs, but I expect a marked improvement.
