New JOYpod feet from Seb

How can the tension be adjusted? Mine is tight enough that it feels like the joystick is flexing when I try to move the rifle.

New or an old one?

Change nothing if it is new, just try to rotate the center shaft for two/three full rotations.

I say, I say...........shoulder that rifle like a man, dammit!!

And quit using those galdarned, confounded, newfangled feet, for god's sake.

Well, I've decided that I officially like the new feet and they will remain on my JOYpod. I've had a chance to look at the results from the Sunday match with the wicked wind (of the north,) and while I thought I had shot terribly, it turns out that I actually didn't do too badly compared to the field.

I was behind the leader by only 2 points overall. PJ outshot me by those 2 points on the first match and then I took him by 1 point on the second and he took me by 1 point on the 3rd. Now that I've returned home and had a chance to examine a few more things, I looked at the pictures of my targets for the three matches.

I have been using my new load for a few months now and I think I'm working through the kinks with that bullet. In the past, I've had shots drop out for no apparent reason; this match, none of that happened. I have done a few things to the rifle and the load, but I'm also thinking the new feet on the JOYpod created a more stable platform compared to the original feet that may not have been completely flat for all shots.

That, along with the new load and my now-favorite bullet, allowed me to play along with the field in really windy fast-switching conditions. I'm looking forward to the next match to see if I can continue on that trajectory but for now, hooray for the new feet for the wonderful Seb JOYpod.

Just as a "case study".. picture is thousand of words

(A) Does this bipod / setup meet the rules?

(B) How about using a mat?

(C) I also tried to shoot with my bipod directly on the ground/carpet provided by the shooting range in one or two relays, and I honestly can't see the difference on the paper.

Please tell me.
I will return/send back my medals & patches if you think I was using an illegal feet or setup @ the WARA Queens in Perth sometime ago.
Do they pivot?
Yes they pivot. I used them at the FSSA match last month.

If first impressions are anything to go by, I won’t be taking my new joypod feet off either. Great bits of kit. No way they promote tracking. My gun jumped a target to the right but held great elevation

If your joypod is jumping any where, you don't have it in the correct position or your barrel weighted right.

Or they can just rewrite the rules to say Harris style bipods, no heavier than 155gr, and no turners. That would destroy some fragile egos and their scores. Lets get back to a shooting competition and not an equipment competition. And since I use Dan's feet and 200.20x I would certainly feel the pain as well.

I've often let newer shooters who show up with their 26" HV barrels shooting 175s off a Harris bipod and stock 3.5# triggers get behind my rifle for a few shots. Their 9s become steady 10s with only an equipment change. If they had the money to buy my rifle and bullets I'm sure the competition would be much much tighter. As it stands now....only those of us with the top equipment are collecting medals. Not really promoting the growth of shooting sports.

Do you still drive a T model Ford. Sling shooting is dying in OZZ because it is in T model territory. What is happening Hunter class has slotted into the F class group for bog standard rifles and field rests.
