New IMR powders in270 Win

Before I buy additional powders would like some feedback on 4955 or 7977. I have traditionally used H4831 but would like to try the new powders from IMR.

Just some practical advice. Unless you enjoy experimenting why waste time, barrel life and money when IMR 4831 and 4350 are absolute proven powders for the 270.

As long as you have a supply of H4831 I see no reason to switch. Stay with what works.

I tried IMR 4955 in a 300 WSM with 215 gr. Berger's. - I know that this is not a 270.
I was looking for something that may produce results similar to H-4831sc. - In short the results were not as I'd desired from an accuracy standpoint. - I'm sure that there is a spot where this powder "fits in" but I don't believe the 300 WSM is it.
I think that possibly both of these powders could provide meaningful service for a 300 Win. Mag. with the correct weight of bullets and even possibly your 270 Win. - Let us know if you decide to try it & how it works out.
