Howdy folks
I was sitting around one day thinking, "Gee, I don't blow enough money on my shooting sports so let's find another way to fo through it faster..." and here I am.
Just kidding. I've been playing the practical pistol and 3-gun game as my latest shooting craze but I've been wanting a nice accurate rifle to try out the precision stuff. So I picked up a Les Baer Tactical Recon in .308 and stuck a Nightforce 5.5-22*56 NXS Zero Stop on it. Fun (but already aggravating) so far. I can't seem to duplicate the target that came with the rifle. I can't say that I'm surprised, I'm sure Les has way more experience and better equipment than what I have. Now I'm trying to decide on rests and bags and then just put in some trigger time. I've already learned a good bit from the few days I've been lurking here. I'm sure I'll learn lots more.
So, take it easy on the new guy (even though I'm approaching being an old dude). I promise I'll use the search button a lot before I ask any silly questions.
