New guy looking for an opinion

I have a 6mm Remington 700 VLS to sell. I have no idea what to ask for it as they no longer offer the rifle in this chambering. Looking for opinions and hoping I've come to the right place.

I have seen them recently posted at $1,400 but they've all included a scope. My guess is that those circumstances might put the value somewhere between $900 and $1000 but you can't tell much without putting it out there and letting the bids pour (or trickle) in. If you can find someone with a blue book of gun values it'd probably give you a better idea of how to price it.

I VE SEEN THOSE GUN IN THE BOX FOR $600/ $650 I PAID $525 FOR A 243 LAST YEAR IT WAS ABOUT 95% 26'' VLS GREAT SHOOTING RIFLES.
I just saw one for $595 at 98% hope this helps

The blue book I have which is a few years old satate the retail was 1019.00 100 percent 825.00,98 percent is 700.00 ,95percent is 600.00. This should give you an idea of what it is worth. If it is unfired start at 800.00.

I think I've decided to list on Gunbroker.

Couple more questions.

I took the Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x44,
Leupold rings and 2 piece base mount off
so it would go in the original box. How important
is the factory box?

Would it be better to...
1) sell it without the scope in factory box?
2) sell it with the scope/rings/base unmounted?
3) forget the factory box and mount the scope?

Can not tell you how much I appreciate the advice
Of the big dogs and not being run off with my tail tucked!
