I am fixing to get a new gun and was wondering about the actions, can a savage stock and action accept a different barrel in the future? Lets just say a Broughton barrel! Any suggestions.

There are tons of good smiths out there, Stockade Gunstocks and Kevin Rayhill chambers and threads Benchmark barrels for me. I channge them myself with a go gauge, a barrel vise i made and a nut wrench from Brownells. 10 minutes to take a barrell off, and 15 or so to put one on and headspace it right the first time.
