Yeah their UI has a lot to be desired but the unit works so well I don't mind

The sessions are oldest to newest, newest at the top and they are time stamped. Seems for now that's what we have to work with and actually not bad. Well for those of us used to working with date/time stamped logs anyhow. I do my groups by session as well, so that's my advice.

If you export them all as one, the excel will put those into tabs and in order, you can bulk rename them as desired via excel, I don't bother as I transfer the info to a single range sheet for that session.

yeah that's what I have been doing too... however, I always have a notebook with me at the range and keep written notes on each shot for redundancy sake. If I could just get a session # so I could add it to my notes, that would be so much easier.

Anyway, I'll contact garmin and give them feedback because it never hurts to put an idea in their head or add my voice to people who may have asked for the same.

All in all, the benefits of the garmin far outweigh this one inconvenience.

I don't live/die by my phone. My reloading notebook is essential to my loading process. I want all my reloading information in one place and not in an app or multiple apps. And this is coming from a GenX raised on super nintendo and windows 95.

For me, no way it's faster to type in my phone than with using pencil on paper. A log book is still king.

I've heard too many stories here of weirdness happening and losing data. In fact I don't even sync the unit with my phone until back home. Sync, review, export, then before my next range I clear both of data and see if there's any updates to app or firmware, then disable bluetooth again. I'm old school SA, we follow KISS religiously.

I do wish in the app they would provide a delete all sessions option like the export all. or at least enable swipe delete.

i figured out how to delete all sessions off the unit itself but forgot how i did it. i dont use app on phone or computer. it is possible though

On > settings > reset > clear all sessions > delete all sessions

I agree with you. However, I am an old fart. All I know is that I jumped on the Xero the moment I saw they were available and it has never missed a shot!

Yeah I see @PatMiles provided the unit delete all (thanks Pat), I actually read the manual for it so I was aware of that from day1 but really wish they would get someone to do the app UI, it could be so much better.

@nmkid also an old guy and I never got into the game controllers so typing on phones isn't my thing at all. Paper is so much easier.

Lots of "never missed a shot" comments. I don't doubt them but but with relatively little usage mine has missed one shot and twice has read 5,003.3 fps. All on separate range trips.

I guess that's my luck!

Mine generally doesn't miss any or throw any like you noticed. That said last range visit I was too close to another shooter and it was picking up their shots (<3ft). First time I've had that happen out of many uses.

I've checked everything from a Red Ryder BB gun to a 4000 fps 6mm. Some shots when it was dark enough it was hard to see the target. No missed shots. WH

I keep my Garmin outside of the distance recommended (from the muzzle) but it very rarely misses a shot. On two occasions I saw an extreme shot spread recording. I wasn't sure if I had an aberrant load or the device misread the velocity. Overall, the Gramin is one of the greatest advancements in shooting technology that has come along in a while.
