Among the many new features:

1. Private Messaging,so you don't have to post your email address in the text of a message).

2. Capability to send email directly from the message board to a member.

3. You'll find it MUCH easier to post pictures, but we still recommend you first host your images with ImageShack.us or TinyPic.com. You can also attach pix, and the software will automatically create a thumbnail. But, we are charged for every picture uploaded, so we prefer that you host on TinyPic.com, then just post a link. Please keep photos to 440 pixels max width; that way readers won't have to scroll so much.

4. You can search for posts by User Nick-name.

5. You can now add quotations and format text to your heart's desire.

6. Spell-Checker and Smilies!! :thumb:

Note that we have transfered the more active and/or informative threads from our original message board system.,Many of the threads started by "Moderator" are threads transferred from the old message boards.)

And you should find that the search feature is faster, and, for some, easier to use. You still want to use the Find Feature to locate other articles on the site. Or, go to the Articles Archive for a handy index to scores of articles and gear reviews.

Could you please add a gunsmiths page so we can learn gunsmith techniques. Your gunsmiths list is fine but a forum would be better for us learning gunsmithing.

The website has a page for technical articles. These encompass both reloading and gunsmithing: http://www.6mmbr.com/TechArticles.html

I've invited a number of smiths to help with articles on 1) maintenance of custom action; 2) barrel crowning; 3) stock inletting; 4) Stock balancing and some other topics, but so far no takers. Jim Borden and Alex Sitman both expressed an interest but things haven't moved foreward.

In the Forum, we do have a Gunsmithing section entitled "New Projects and Gunsmithing". It's divided into two sub-categories, "Gun Project Questions" and "General Gunsmithing".

I agree more gunsmithing articles would be good to have, but we have to get qualified people willing to submit the articles. Unfortunately, most of the good smiths I know are too busy.

I sent you a pm. Kent Reeve is one of the finest persons I know. He is also one of the best LR shooters in the world. I hope he sticks around we all can learn from Kent. He has a ton of experience and is great about sharing it with those who are interested.

I feel very lucky to have been in the Palma/F-Class Long Range Firing School last fall. Kent, Mid and Nancy put on a great three day school.

Kent is on the U.S. Palma Team, he also does a great deal to promote and raise monies for the U.S. Palma Team.

Kent post frequently on the Long-Range.com site which is a part of the PALMA promotions.

Kent, when I first tried to contact the moderator at 6mmBR it took about a week for Paul to get back in touch with me. I am sure he will.
