To bad this is an April fool's joke! I for one would love to see a class like that so a poor man can afford to have some fun competing. I can't afford the high prices BR shooting costs but would love to do it on a smaller cheaper scale that a lot of people could afford.Just read about the new NRA e-class my question who makes an optic to clearly see and shoot 1000 yards for 4-500 dollars retail?????????
Paul,Yes, the "E-Class" story is a Fools Day offering, but it's possible to have a very accurate rifle for under $2000.00 with optics.
I started this website as 6mmBR.com, because I converted a $425 factory Savage with a PacNor PreFit 6mmBR barrel and the thing shot an honest quarter-MOA and set a range record at 600 yards at my local club. I put the action in a laminated stock I bought for $200. The Leupold 8-25×56mm LRT scope cost about $900.00 (20 years ago). I added an after-market trigger. Apart from the scope, I had about $820.00 in the rifle, but that was with a free barrel.
Prices from 2002-2004
Savage Rifle: $425
PacNor 6mmBR Pre-Fit Barrel (Gift from PacNor): FREE
Laminated Stock $220
Trigger: $150
Burris Signature Rings: $25
Total $820.00 without scope, $1720 with Leupold scope.
Oh yeah the rear bag was a gift, and I think I paid about $65 for that front rest...

This is the one I'm getting. All you really need is a 12x scope. At least that’s what an X navy Seal told me at the gun range.
This is perfect and the real deal!Rings included!
