New cardboard Lapua brass boxes

Is it worth moaning about? Probably not but I miss the old plastic Lapua blue brass boxes and I don’t care for their new cardboard boxes. Just had 3 boxes of Lapua 300 PRC in their new box arrive, yuck.

Peterson brass boxes are nice but ADG and Alpha get the gold star, they offer a nice box with a foam insert. That’s a nice touch, I wish Lapua would follow suit.

Ok, now I’ll shut up.

before the blue boxes were the cardboard boxes and everyone whined when the blue boxes came out. .

i agree with you though nakneker the peterson agd alpha plastic boxes are nice. i sure use them instead of buyiing more mtm. dont know why but i never used the lapua plastic boxs. mabie mtm is paying lapua to make cardboard so people buy mtm boxes. you know the drill follow the $ lol

I have saved my plastic boxs thru the years. I transfer new new cases from the cardboard box into a recycled plastic box. I have a buddy who anneals for me on his AMP. I take the cases to him in the blue plastic box. I sure don't want him digging out and replacing the cases into a MTM type box. At some point I guess the plastic box will wear out....I'll have to find a good plastic box if I live that long

Every Peterson cases I've bought all came with a nice box and foam insert? Have 6 GT, 243, and 6 CM.

Lapua always been the worst IMO. Those blue boxes werent any special either, and they got worse with the cardboard. Funny the gold standard has the absolute worst packaging. Go figure huh lol. Always need to buy an MTM with Lapua either way.

I'm pretty much sticking with Peterson anymore these days. Good brass, good packaging, and a great name.

I much rather have the blue plastic box for further use but the case mouths of those packaged in the cardboard are straighter with no dings that I've seen so far. I guess it's a toss-up for me.

Given the expense of making some of the boxes that manufacturers use- one would think more manufacturers would fashion the box to be a great range box for loaded ammo or something - giving added value to the purchase. I haven't seen the ADG or Peterson boxes. Sounds like there may be a few....
