If it is a solid green tip, it sounds like the new version geared more towards the 300 Blackout. It just dawned on me why it dont kick too bad. Its got one of the old bosses on it. Its noisy but it dont bite you. Now you put some hot rod 180s or 200s in it different story. I dont think that gamechanger was designed for the blackout. These have a green tip. Doug
Our factory has been working diligently to make bullets while keeping our reputation to the quality our customers expect. Our design team has been just as busy. They have come up with a new design for our #4625 30cal 125gr TGK that we feel will benefit hunters and shooters alike.
Externally, we’ve redesigned it with an improved nose profile for proper feeding in the 300 AAC through an AR style firearm. The new design is slightly shorter in overall length than the original, but it has gained BC numbers. The original was a 0.291 and the new has a 0.323 G1 BC, giving it a higher impact velocity downrange with all other things equal. The internals have also been reworked to give a better expansion quality from the velocities usually associated with this cartridge. It should now give a superior performance on whitetail and pig sized game animals.
I don't know about him - but I have a 7 mm Rem Mag (shoot 120 Barnes TTSX, and a .375 H&H (235 grain)I am puzzled why anyone would select a 300 Win mag for white tail deer. I am further puzzled why anyone would select a 125-grain bullet for this caliber. But then again, a lot of things these days puzzled me.
That make sense to me. If you have the rifle, you might as well enjoy it. Loading down when you don't need the extra power anymore sounds like the way to go.I don't know about him - but I have a 7 mm Rem Mag (shoot 120 Barnes TTSX, and a .375 H&H (235 grain)
Both rifles overkill for deer - but I used to hunt elk and other larger game. Since I don't any longer, I load down and enjoy the benefits of less recoil and flatter trajectory. Maybe he loads up when going after larger game if so inclined?
I apologize I didn't mean to make you feel bad, I am sorry. You think I like it rebs? I wouldnt have shot if I knew that was gonna happen. Keep huntin yoll lose one. 300 mag has killed 4 or 5 whitetails for me fine. I said in an earlier post I was trying to reduce recoil with the 125s. I dont need the critics. I feel bad enough as it is. I think the bullet blew up before it penetrated. Doug
Answer might be to blow that mag out, make it an Improved, maybe have the needed power. LOL.I think the LOOSE NUT was pulling the trigger.
