New Build timeline ?

I must give credit where it’s due. After finally getting through to his cell phone and leaving a message, this fellow did respond with a text today. It didn’t say, “it’s ready to be delivered” but at least it is a response. I’m still trying to summon up more patience. Ironically, up until 2017, this gunsmith had some very complimentary and glowing accolades on this very site, from clients touting his abilities and the end products.

Well, that text was the last from him ! Totally unresponsive ! I’ve had it and am going in another direction for resolution. His neighbor and friend, who suggested using him for this build, told me that he knows of no reason for this situation.

FINALLY ! I got my money back from him. Now , to find a reputable smith to do my build.

If you have all components, or use the ones we have in the shop, we can build a rifle in a month. What you get is a fussy guy (me) that obsesses over dialing the barrel in the lathe so the throat is straight, a stress free bedding job, and lots of cerakote options.

Thank you, Greg. I consider myself fortunate to have taken the approach that worked for my situation. I do though feel terribly sorry for those who haven’t recovered their losses. A few folks have contacted me and indicated that they’re left twisting in the wind. It’s a shame, apparently this has been going on for some time.
