My first custom action was a Pierce, and I have always liked dealing with them. John Pierce was very helpful to me when I first got into Benchrest. I have never met him, but he was never stingy with his phone time. I have always wished they made a Benchrest action. I called Jim Nordhof and asked him if they would be willing to donate anything for the prize table at our 1000yd IBS Northwest Championship match here is Montana www.mt1000yd.com We got to talking and he agreed to make use a Benchrest action. It came in today and I am impressed. It is a stainless steel dual port. I tested it with a 6br and 6.5x47 case and it ejects great. It should work with up to .308 sized cases. It is a standard short action length with a heavy tang. It is 1.350" diameter and should fit most square tang inlets with minor mods. It has a offset trigger hanger as well as a pinned recoil lug. They offer many other options to customize. Price is not final but I expect it to be between 1050-1100 or so which puts it at a great price point, while still being extremely high quality. And yes, it will be up for grabs this August!
