NEW Bat action coming out today

Long story short, I believe that all things equal aluminum actions will out agg a steel action. Im not saying that they will shoot smaller just that I feel like they have less bad days. I do not have proof of this just years of watching how different rifles act. So I have been trying to get something that I consider to have all the pros of the best steel action but in aluminum. I have tried a couple times and failed to make this happen. I was talking with Chris Harris at bullet central about all of this and he was able to make it happen. So we now have a Nuevo LR in aluminum. It has a steel insert up front and the aluminum body is hard anodized and teflon coated. These are like the bumble bee and vampire actions. If you have run those, you know they are even slicker than the steel actions. They have one at shot show, the first batch is not quite done yet but I ordered all drop ports. All the same configurations as the regular Nuevo will be available, the bolts are identical to the steel actions so no change there. 36oz. thumbnail (28).png

Alex,
Do these have the same beefy bolt as the steel Nuevo’s?
That “3 lug” diameter bolt with a drop port is an awesome combination, in my opinion.

Nice!

So, the steel tenon insert is pressed in place, and retained by the two anti rotation tabs?

Sorry havent had time to follow all the progress.

The only thing the 2 share is the use of aluminum. Totally different in every other way.
So I’m just a rifle shooter, I have no clue of the inner workings of an action other than how to change out a firing pin spring. It sure seems like they’re a lot alike from just looking at them with an unknowledgeable eye.

Aluminum with steel inserts.
Push feed 2 lug.
Integrated recoil lug and scope rail.
Coned bolt.
Single shot.
Looks like a trigger hanger and flat bottom?

I guess the ejectors are different? What makes them totally different I guess is my question?

And for that matter a Stiller Viper DP.

The Neuvo style action has the locking lugs horizontal instead o vertical when in battery. That is a huge difference.
