New barrel?

OK, so i just ordered a new 22-250 barrel for my encore pistol and I was wondering if someone has a SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE barrel break in routine? I wont do all the ridiculous shit that some people suggest...but i want something that does right by my new tube!

I would go by whatever your barrel maker suggests. Most makers have their own recommended break in procedure.

what I would do is go to each barrel makers,Hart,Shilen,Krieger,Pac-Nor, Lilja,Bartlien,Rock Creek,Spencer,Braughten ect) website and read what they all recommend. Then when you start the process you can take the bits and Pieces from all of them. Also no two are the same, some will break in eaiser. When you see how boring it is and how long it takes you might even say the heck with it.
