New Arken 7x35

Lots of folks on here equating the CCP with Chinese citizens and workers, as if skilled workers can't produce a quality product because of the government they have. Learn to differentiate your biases a bit and I think many of you will be much happier with the realities of life.

That being said, I have an EP5 and it does just dandy out to the 500 yards that I've taken it out to so far. I was thinking to myself just the other day that I wisht they'd come out with something higher mag like a 7-35 or 8-40, and boom, there it is. I'll most likely be getting one to try because while I could find a way to get a ZCO or similar, I prefer to find the limits of frugality and spend that money on things like ammo and fishing trips. I'll probably talk myself into an S&B one day though.

My only issue is where they are made but it’s a company that’s owned by Vets and that’s certainly worth something.
I did buy an EP-8, but in the end I feel slightly dirty buying something made in China. I don't even care that the quality is getting much better.

In the beginning it seemed the price was too good to be true, even for a China scope.

So far, I like my EP-8, and was a bit sorry I didn't get the LH 4-16 (which I still can). But now I'm feeling that Arken led people on with cheap pricing to get a foot in the market. I also have a couple Vortex scopes and they are top notch to deal with. IMO, and just my opinion, @RED DIRT was treated poorly. I think they at least owe you a response to what was sent to you.

Personally, while I am happy with my EP-8, I won't buy anything else from them until I feel the company stands behind their product and provides the type of support that Vortex does, as an example, not to focus on Vortex. There are other scope companies that provide decent support, and I may end up buying a Nightforce, that I don't know. I don't see any flood of Nightforce scopes due to people replacing them with the Arken.

Arken is not a bad product, IMO, but it is made in China. So far, mine hasn't gone CHINK!

EDIT: In looking at my EP-8 box, it really is quite a nice box. I consider it to be on par with Apple product. I really don't see how that could have gotten damaged without the outer shipping box damaged. Demand an explanation!;)

If you enjoy good customer support, then NightForce is NOT a brand I would recommend

Have two EP-5 5x25s that I really like. They are on range/hunting rifles and have been outstanding for that service. I would go a different route for a true competition rifle.
I know this to be true. I have looked through nightforce shv scopes. I have looked through 2 or 3 ep5 5-25x56. The 5-20x56 Shv doesn’t even compare to the ep5s that I have looked through at the same target/distance and time of day. Side by side the ep5 has much better glass
