new 700 primary extraction?

Has anyone handled a new Remington 700, and have any observations about primary extraction?

I handled a new one a year ago
Wood stocked BDL
Was as nice as the earlier B-Series Rem 700's

Extracted fine, face of action was flat to within .002"
cycled smooth to begin with and like silk after I lapped lugs and polished the raceways
Guess I got lucky

I bought a "target" Remington 700 stainless action a few years back. It had only 5 percent contact on one lug and no primary extraction. Cost me the difference between a custom action and a Remington action to fix it. Remington forgot how to make guns. And they have the original specs for the action.
