New 6MM Dasher Brass on its way

We finally received confirmation from NORMA that the air shipment of the new 6mm Dasher Brass with the "normal" thickness rims will be leaving this week by air. We expect them to clear customs and be on hand within 2 weeks.

In order to avoid confusion, new model numbers and a revised description have been input into the system. They are available in 50, 100 and 250 count quantities.

Here's a link to the new model numbers:

Even though they are not in stock those that have been waiting can place their orders and they will be shipped as soon as they arrive.

Thank you for the patience.

I have modified all my extractors for the thick rimed stuff. Will I still be able to buy the original stuff for a while with the old part #.

If you cannot find them i had bought 500 and have separated the larger bases and will sell them for less than cost as ii did not make any changes.

Why wont the thinner rims work with a modified extractor.

They will. However, the thicker rimmed stuff is on killer price right now as a closeout and they will not be available after that lot is gone.

The new "regular rim thickness" brass just hit the airport in Seattle and we should be getting them in house tomorrow so we can start shipping shortly thereafter.

Great news I was holding out on the dasher because of brass issue and did not want to fireform lapua brass.I may have to order a barrel for my tl3 now.

I just purchased some of the thicker rimmed Norma 6DASHER brass. Will I need to modify my Bat 3 lug extractor? I was under the impression that the thicker rim was better since it would help keep primer pockets nice and tight? Thanks for the advice.

2 reamers (T10902 and T23209) are listed on the website for the Dasher which one should be used with the new "normal thickness rim" brass?

T10902, according to the description for the brass is correct. There should be no difference in the reamer for "thick" or "normal" brass.

I will answer my own question now that I have figured it out. Yes, the bat 3 lug will not extract the thick rim brass without modifying the extractor. Bat is awesome though, I told them of the problem and they sent me a new extractor, best customer service in the business!

K redden,

I had to bevel and polish the edges of my Barnard extractor for the original run of brass as it wouldn't come off the bolt face anr/or dug into the brass and left a burr. As a test, I ran a dozen 6BR (Lapua) cases through it after modification and it extracted them fine. Now, they weren't fired of course, but I noticed no extra play when extracting.

I suspect you will be fine with both types of brass if you didn't take too much off the extractors.
