New 6mm bullets

I was browsing through midways site looking at 6mm bullets. On the bottom was suggested products. “Factory second bullets” in a 106gr tipped and then I found a 103gr hpbt. Thats two bullet weights i dont know of anyone making.
I know midway sells mostly hornady blems but as I browsed more blems I’ve seen what looks like what only Sierra sells.

Any guesses?

Is it going to be a 106gr TMK and 103SMK?

or is it something new from hornady?

The Grey tip on that one and the shallow boat tail makes me think Nosler. I think if it was Sierra, blemished or not it would have a green tip.

They always grey the tips out on there bc they won’t disclose who the manufacture is..

just odd...I don’t think hornady would make a 106eldx/m when they already make a 103eldx and 108eldm already.

Im sure they will be released soon by whoever makes them.

Maybe the weight is why its a blem. It really doesnt matter they are sold for fireforming. There could be internal problems like a bad core seat punch and youll never find it by any sorting method but they wont shoot. This is why the mfr is not identified because they know people are going to bitch about the accuracy on a reject bullet

IDK Dusty, I've only bought blems twice. I got a smoking deal on some 140 Grain 6.5 MM tipped jobs [They were overweight, 142grains] This was about 4 years back. I used them to fireform some 260 AI brass. At 300 meters they stayed on a 4 inch wide/5 inch tall resettable target. I'd wished I had bought a thousand of them. mike in ct

True true. Could be a weight blem, could be a typo? If they weren’t $37.99 for a blem I’d order some to see what color tip they are. I don’t buy blems and I don’t buy $37 blems:confused:

I’m still guessing it’s something unreleased from Sierra. TMK and an SMK. But, I was wrong once before:D.
Hey! It might be a new heat resistant jacket hornady is working on!
I’ve seen other blems on there way before the actual bullet was released. Probably first time run bullets, them working out the kinks on a new bullet.

BUT , at $ 38.00+ /100 I guess the owner needs some $$$ for more infomercials. And, with PV selling Hornady 103 & 108 ELDs at less that $ 31.00 and their 105 BTHP's at $ 21.14, Midway , will probably be having a post Christmas sale.
The major problem with Midway's "seconds" is that "once they are gone, they are gone". Plus the manufacture is unknown, unlike Nosler's "blems"

So can I expect hunting accuracy from bullets advertised as" cosmetic blems or cosmetic seconds" or will I be chasing my tail for 1 moa hunting loads?

I have targets that show moa groups with NCC 77 gn and 155 & 168 Nosler "blems" out of AR's at 300 Yds. Don't know about their "hunting bullets" I test my loads on paper then use the "keepers" to bang 12" steel hangers
