New 6BRA looking good

After many years of shooting a 6BRX with a .262 neck my arthritic hands demanded less neck turning. I opted to venture into the BRA world with a .269 neck 6. Minimal neck work. 1 light cut, easy peasy. With a lot of advice, numbers, and brass to play with from a friend and fellow shooter, Jack Balon, I had Attrum Gunsmithing (advertises on here), Andy Murtaugh, chamber a 1 in 8 Krieger barrel. After getting some brass made up and fire formed I started with sorted 107 SMK and Varget. First attempt at 31.0 was a tiny hole. Slow I am sure but it sure showed promise. Over the last several months trying to balance wind with temperature I progressed a grain at a time from 31.1 thru 31.6, most at .250 to .200. At 31.7 it dropped to .150 area. I had 9 prepped case ready so I loaded 30.8 today and shot 2 groups. .110 and .113. No pressure signs yet, next go will be 31.9 and maybe I will drag out the lab radar to see where I am at with velocity. Everything now is .015 in the lands from touch. I will not play with seating depth until I pick the initial powder charge. Looks good at this point, I am happy. Better yet, barrel cleans up easy.

I am glad it has worked out for you.
I suspect you will find out that all of the 6BR variants have their own little quirks.
Unfortunately, it all comes down to barrels and bullets, but the BRA fire forming and long neck makes finding out a lot easier.
I will probably run into you at the first AC GH.
