New 308, Tikka T3 or Remington Mountain SS

@ K22 Howdy, AGAIN guy ! I shoot, one of your awesome load recommendations, in my Tikka, .243 Win. ( Sierra, 80 gr. W/ 42.5 IMR 4350 ) THANKS !
My thought was to, Keep, the recoil DOWN a bit and, have the Bullets, "Flying",.. Flat for, the OP ! He could accomplish, exactly, the SAME thing that, you are now doing ( down loading, YOUR .308 to, EASE the Recoil ! ), with Factory 130-140 grain 6.5 Ammo and with, LESS,.. bullet "drop" to, Boot! Look at, the Ballistics of, the 6.5 Creed, they are, pretty darn GOOD, IMO and almost everyone, shoots them, "well" ! I have, a .338 Magnum FLINCH, that STILL shows up, every once in a while and I wouldn't wish IT, on a Dog ! @ 73 years old, I can still comfortably, shoot, 160's in, a 7 mm Rem Mag and 140's @ 3,150 in my .270 WSM but, I have to really PAY attention to avoid, the old, flinch / hunch and making a BAD, shot ! If people, NEVER develop, a Flinch to begin with, it would be much better for them ! I ENJOY shooting my .243 but, I have to constantly THINK to, avoid "Hunching - Flinching" with, the 7.5 pound, un-braked .270 WSM ! The 6.5 Creed with proper Loads / Bullets, will kill, Deer / Elk to, most REASONABLE ranges and do it with a lot less, RECOIL than, a .308 with 165's and shoot much,.. flatter ! Just trying, to pass along some of my, 60+ years of, shooting experience to, the OP ! I've seriously thought about, buying another Tikka in 6.5 Creed myself, to shoot Steel but, I need another Gun, like i need, a third Testicle ( that might not be such, a bad idea, at my age, tho !) LOL !
Study up on IT,.. it's, a neat lil' Caliber !

I have used a 308 since i started hunting and that's all i have used. Since i have handed down my rifle to my son, that's why i'm looking to get a new one. I know that there are some new cinderella cartridges out there but why fix it if it isn't broken. As the 6.5 goes, my wife shoots a 260 and loves it but i will stick to the 30 caliber. Where we hunt, 200 yds is a long shot, with more of them being under 100. I appreciate all the input from fellow members and take every response seriously as there are a lot of people out there with more experience than i.

The Tikka will be the “new” rem. 700 we have all came to know and love. IF they keep the quality up.
I would pick it. Tikka can’t overtake 50 years of Remington popularity dominance overnight. Look back in 5-8 years....... just my opinion.
You could be correct but take a look at Remington's 783 synthetic varmint laminate...hear they have new tooling and machinery in their Kentucky plant.
