Stockys Carbon VG tikka stock.

Ahhh I see. I have bedded like 10 rifles. Last time I did pillars and bedded the trigger guard too. I also made a mess the first couple times.
I'm a dummy. You are the one who gave me the tip to use a drop of super glue tip on the recoil lug! That was a very key tip on getting this whole thing right.

Lol thought that post was familiar. I believe I got that from an older post on this forum. That is for sure the hot ticket.

Stockys asked for pics and said send it back. They will put their action in it and check it out. Thats all I can ask for. I bet some of you here have also endured a Boyds nightmare that took months or years to resolve if ever lol. I might be spoiled by chassis now. Open box, tighten down action screws, go shooting...

The only aftermarket stock I have used so far is a B&C M40 for my other tikka. It was perfect. Tighten Screws and go shooting. I did not bed it. I did the bedding test with the dial indicator on it, 0.002 movement. Great stock.

Did they address the he loose lug?

What model savage is this? I did not know they offered it for a savage. I like the color you chose. I almost went with that color when i ordered mine.
They do for the savage model 10/11, 110/111. This one is a 111 long action.

They didn't say anything about it. The way carbon fiber is so hard, maybe it has to be like that. The factory plastic stock has enough give that it can be inlet a hair small and then push the lug in.

No it should definitely be tight. They're not supposed to need to be bedded.

Any updates on it yet?

Stockys said everything was normal. The trigger guard is supposed to not be flush. What a joke. They refunded my money. Not sure if that came with a 10% restocking fee outlined on their website. Good customer service, but worst stock I have ever purchased in my life. Never ever again...

Bummer! All the other reports I've seen have been positive. I still plan on getting one but hope the recoil lug is tight because I wouldn't plan to bed it.
