New 22BRX

TheBlueEyedBear

'The Nut Behind The Trigger'
Received my new 22BRX from Tommy Shurley ( http://www.shurleybrothers.com/ ) yesterday. What an awesome job Tommy did. Don't know how it shoots yet but from the looks and feel it is great. Chambered a dummy round and it was nice and tight. Hope to make it to the range real soon and see how good it shoots.

That is an interesting flute job. The rifle looks awesome. Keep us updated how it shoots.

Lucky you went for the muzzle brake, the Graco recoil reducer and the Limbsaver recoil pad, they sure do kick those BRXs ;D
What twist barrel did you get?

This is one that my wife will have the opportunity to shoot. I didn't want any recoil to deter her from shooting this gun.
The fluting is the interrupted fluting done by BRUX barrels. The barrel was then polished by Tommy Shurley. I have to say again, I am extremely happy with the results of Tommy's work. When Richard Franklin retired and sold his business to ShurleyBrothers.com I was reluctent at first. Then after much communications I took the leap of faith and did the deal with Tommy. Good choice! Just from my communication with him, and, the finished product, I can say he is a good man. I look forward to my next build with Tommy.

glad you received your work of art from tommy i received my 6mmbrx from him also mine can be seen on his web site till i can gets pics posted havent shot mine either but i not concerned at all tommy is one of a kind i think i would suggest him for anyone that has an arrogant overpriced gunsmith he is a very pleasant person to do business with an is very good at his trade hell be doing more work for me cant say enough good about him thanks to you tommy & also to barry for your help respectfully alan shooter63.

I went with a 10 twist barrel planning to shoot bullets between 60 and 70 grains. Hopefully it will prove to be a good choice. My first bullet I will try is going to be the 69gr SMK. I have read a lot of good reports from this bullet. We'll see!

Finally got around to do some shooting with this gun. Most time spent with my new 7mm SAUM getting ready for the 'Speed Goats'.
This 22BRX built by Tommy Shurley flat out shoots. I just loaded up 50 rounds so that I could fire-form the brass and I was really surprised. The two targets are twenty five rounds each (fire-forming). For not taking my time in the reloading and the shooting efforts (for fire-forming) I was very pleased.
Gear up the equipment, Tommy; you have more work coming.. :) I love this thing. And, ZERO recoil. Unbelievable: My wife will be able to shoot this with no problems.
