New 223 brass choices

Can you recommend any other high-quality brass manufacturers besides Lapua for reloading 223 ammunition that provide consistent and accurate results for long-range shooting? I've been using Lake City brass for years, but I'm looking to improve my numbers at longer ranges and I'm having trouble finding new 223 brass. I'm considering Norma brass, but I'm unsure about their quality compared to other brands.

I've been loading Norma 223 brass for about 1.5 years and is all I have been using. Some I have 6 or 7 reloadings on it and it is still tight. Mostly loading 69gr bullets at about 70/80% of max. At times you can find it preprimed on their website.

Do you prefer to avoid Lapua? I seem to see folks list WTB and find some. Just saw some sell recently for a good price. My choices in order of preference:

1. Lapua
2. Nosler (but my experience is with 25-06 not 223) in stock several locations
3. LC not sure why you are moving away from it, it still can be had
4 WW-Super, Starline
5 Way down the list, Hornady, Remington and others

I would buy Lapua if I could find it, since it’s next to impossible to find I am looking for the next best alternative and then down the line as the next best is probably not obtainable either.

My very worst experience was just lately with norma bulk primed brass. primers were seated askew and were flat/crushed. it appeared, that while priming, excessive force was used and therefore also distorting the case rims. Very few primers detonated upon first or 2nd strike of firing-pins from three different rifles. Deprimed all cases and set aside. I then ordered 500 Starline cases and have had no problems. ( I would have bought lapua but couldn't find it.) The Starline seems fine as I have also been using it to form 20 TAC and 7MM TCU. NEVER again norma primed bulk brass.

I have had positive results with Hornaday and Winchester cases very much less so with Remington. My only compliant with Winchester was the several defective cases that I always seem to find in each bag I buy.

Never used Starline in the 223 Rem but I wouldn't hesitate to try it if I could find it. I have used their pistol cases and was very satisfied.

I have never purchased the primed stuff so I will make note of this. I have about 500pcs of 223 and it has been very consistent and very durable. Much more readily available than Lapua and about $0.50 a piece cheaper.
I have used many thousands of Norma brass. These bulk primed cases were vastly different from previous "boxed" cases. Did I just happen to get two hundred of culls/rejects? I wasn't willing to spend another $100+, so I bought 500 of Starline.

Just to mention it, Starline makes two varieties of 223 brass.
One is called 223, and the other is called 5.56x45
Them main difference being that the 5.56x45 brass has a higher head harness.

I found some Starline in stock at two places online, one refused to ship to NY ( won't be getting any of my hard earned money ) and the other had no problem shipping here. I will give them a try until Lapua comes back in stock.
