Can't anyone punctuate the word "Can't" right anymore?Cant anyone spell Creedmoor right lol. Its not CreedMoor.
Ya that's believableCan't anyone spell 'claiming' right?
I realize that all of this is just hypothetical but the suggested BC appears to be a little low, especially if the Nosler Accubond LR is higher by Nosler's claim.

It's always nice to see a bullet maker follow through with the current trend of long/heavy for caliber...
Regards.
26 Nosler and now your talking changing the game. Like Fredo said, I really don't see the money in weight over velocity unless the BC is astronomically greater. Then the velocity better work too. I'm still with the 26 nosler or the old 6.5 win mag.IME the Nosler 142 LRAB shoots the same dope as the 140 Hybird at the same speeds,,maybe not as accurate but same clix at 1,000.
I would also guess a 155 6,5mm would be about like the 195 7mm and take a big case to see a gain over the 140,,but if you ran them out of the 6,5 Nosler or Weatherby that they would have a place,,kinda like the 28 Nosler and the 195s

Found this on a FB page. Any one hear about it yet? Estimated BC? Guy is claiming stable in a 1:8 which I do not buy. One person estimated it would have a BC G1= 0.675 is g7= 0.345 EST.
Will this be a big game changer? Will many that have been switching to the 284 switch back to the 6.5-284? View attachment 1018273View attachment 1018274
Berger is behind the times on that one. Cauterecio has had a 6.5mm, 155gr VLD for years. If I was not opposed to shooting VLDs due to seating depth sensitivity, I would be using them. I had him make a non-VLD 153gr, 6.5mm bullet but the BC was about what the Berger 140 hybrid is so I waived off on that project.
I have a 6.5-284 throated for 140gr bullets. I pressure tested some Cauterucio 153gr (10 cal ogive) bullets in it and was easily able to reach 2950fps. Bullet was seated DEEP into the case past neck/shoulder junction.

I was reaching those speeds with my 6.5-284 and the 155 Cauterucios, also, but, my primer pockets were shot after one firing.
Would need about a .240+ FB!!! Assuming the ogive is pushed out 1/2 of that additional length. I'm not asking my smith to break out a throating reamer any time soonJust read that this bullet is .080 longer then the 140gr HVLD.
Interesting. I did not try reloading the brass yet from the pressure test but I did not have any pressure signs.
Did you see any pressure signs? Ejector marks or sticky bolt lift?
