New Bullets just keep popping up!

That is what I was just thinking! I am also seeing barrels with a twist rate of 7.83! So those 8.0 twist rate barrels be the best to have if you want to WIN!

Caliber: 6mm (.243")
Grain: 109
Jacket: J4 Target Jacket
Ogive Style: Hybrid
Base Style: Boat Tail (0.168)
G1 BC: 0.568
G7 BC: 0.292
Minimum Twist: 1:8"
OAL: 1.277
Nose Length: 0.665
Base to Ogive: 0.653
Bearing Surface: 0.431

comparing price to bc.....idk

i think $35 is where i will have to draw the line on production 6mm bullets.

$44 is stretching it.

I would rather step into a 6.5mm for a higher bc bullet for the same price.

I went to the Berger Twist Rate Stability Calculator and selected the new 109gr Target Long Range Hybrid. I entered 2870 FPS, Barrel Twist of 8", 70 degrees F, and 80 feet altitude and I got a Marginal Stability of 1.43 with my BC being compromised by 2% and a minimum twist rate recommended: 1 in 7.75"

Nice bullet, just not sure its gonna be able to replace the 105 in any of my loads. If they wouldve went for it and dropped a 112-115 hybrid with a G1 close to .6 then we'd have something to really be talking about.

Powder Valley list a box of 100 for $39.96 although they are out of stock.

Because they probably are running these above 2950

Yes, I would say 8 is on the edge, plus you pick up Bc. with a faster twist. I will try them in a 7 same as the 110 SMK and the 110 A tip.... jim

Using the same inputs in the Berger Twist Rate Stability Calculator for the new 109 Hybrid as I used in my Post #6 (these represent the normal conditions I shoot in) I had to increase the speed up to 3300 FPS in order to get out of the Marginal Stability and into the Comfortable Stability zone for twist rate of 8". Entering a speed of 3250 FPS recommended a Minimum Twist Rate of 7.75"

I would bet anything Berger screwed up on the twist rate...... jim

Just got some in. Will be trying them in an 8 twist brx. If not I’ve got 7.5 waiting.
I’ll be shooting at 2000 elevation so I expect them to do well.
