I am interested in building a 22BR sometime in the future, and want to gather some information about the chamber recommendations. I have read the 22BR page and several post here and could not find a lot of the answers I am looking for. I am planning on calling Dave but I wanted to see what input I would get from people shooting this cartridge now.
Thanks in advance
#1) What is the neck on a no-turn? I want to get a no-turn neck match reamer made, so when I get ready to build one.
#2) What free bore is recommended? .000†or ?
#3) What twist to use for shooting 50-55 grain bullets mostly, but the occasional 60gr flat base, 69 HPBT, or 75gr A-max’s?
#4) What kind of barrel life can I expect if I do not shoot the gun hot?

I have taken some information from other posts here, so you might recognize what I am pasting.
Have several 6BRs' so it was an easy 'transition'. Use my 6BR redding bushing die with a .247' bushing, loaded round .249' w/ Lapua, for a .251' chamber neck.
By the sounds of it, you dont really need the twist to shoot the heavy bullets a long way. 200 for paper punching is fine for the 1:14 twist and the 52-53gr match bullet range. But in case it gets windy, consider a 1:10 twist to shoot 69gr match bullets.
My 22BR replaced my 22/250 and what a joy it is too shoot. I'm using a 1-12 twist barrel. My standard load is H322 and 55 grain Noslers, but I can also use Berger 64 grain
Thanks in advance
