Need some load information for a .244, 85 or 87 gr.

I just picked up a Remington Model 722 in .244. Really nice old rifle. Hopefully there are some members in here that can lead me in the right direction on powder and bullets. Sure would appreciate it.

The 85 Sierra BTHP and IMR 4064 is killer

41gr of H4350 and 41.5gr of IMR4350 with sierra 85gr HPBT. Those are my loads.

What are you looking to do with it? Varmint, deer, paper?

I like to load staball in my 6mm rem for shooting paper because it seems to keep the barrel cooler, but a compressed charge of IMR 4350 gives the best accuracy.

mullmann....thank you for the info on loads with H4350 and IMR4350. The H gave me 3 shot groups at 100 yards of 3/8" consistently and the IMR a little over a 1/2". You saved me a lot of $$ on powder and bullets trying to find "the load". Sure do appreciate it !!
