Need more .308 Lapua. Best on-line site.

I'm looking to buy more .308 Lapua. I shoot every day, and now the wife does too. She recently expressed her desire to learn how to reload and would like her own batch of brass to do it with. I am happy to oblidge. However, I think I bought up all of my stores inventory. Anyone have a good site to use that's not marking them up like the Zombie Apocalypse is coming?

Thanks.

best will depend on +taxes and shipping:

Didn't you give your .308 to your wife? I believe that means she must now coordinate the acquisition of suitable reloading components. Yeah, I know...it doesn't work that way. ;) ;) ;)

The unit prices are a little higher than a couple of the links posted previously, but you'd need to check into the shipping costs to make a final determination. If you're looking for Lapua .308 Win small rifle primer brass, it has been indefinitely discontinued.

Large Rifle Primer. She's is buying me a 6.5. Right now I'm weighing my options on what I want and really enjoying shooting the .308 with her.

Thanks for the links.

I've found those same prices trying different search parameters, so no joy!

I do want to say that I envy you the partnership with your wife especially shooting and reloading! What a wonderful, ideal situation.

Congratulations!

:)

I have to wonder how it would be, that only the small rifle primer version of this brass, could be indefinitely discontinued. I do not believe the reason would be along the lines that “Lapua 308” is being made for NATO, or a similar entity, and commercial outlets receive overrun.

I have what I believe to be Nammo’s version of the brass that does end up in military use, and it looks like this. The reason I cannot specify with certainty its origin is that it was a Midway one time purchase, years back, where they use their own packaging and can go out of their way to conceal source or manufacturer. Edit: it is Nammo brass, and Lapua is part of Nammo.

I’m no alarmist but I also don’t like to be the last one that figured something out, and I usually don’t need the very last square turned on wheel of fortune’s board, before I know the phrase.

Lapua has treated the competition community to the highest available quality, in abundance, over its years. I’m spoiled, won’t speak for others. I’m certain that within it, the cause is being championed. I’m also certain though, that rumors have been swirling for a long time, and have been addressed, about the commercial side, which to my recollection, stopped just short of refuting that there should have been any rumors, in the first place.

I simply hope that Lapua recognizes the esteem it’s held in, and that if changes we won’t like are coming anyway, that it’s forthright about them, rather than putting us through a piecemeal weaning. It didn’t escape passing thought that a warehouse’s stock somewhere, determined what would and wouldn’t continue to be delivered. I also don’t mind being the bad guy that keeps raising the issue in my several posts on the subject, at least they know we care.

Lapua made their call, it's a done deal. These things happen. Moving forward, I'll buy .308 Win SRP brass from Alpha Munitions and/or Peterson.

Speaking freely, there’s something else that lacked much explanation, that I ever saw, why exactly it is that Berger decided not to be a named sponsor of SWN, Berger being a next door neighbor to Ben Avery.

What I don’t believe the reason was, is money. And yes, if their bullets weren’t all but trickling out, well worse than before Lapua acquired them, I wouldn’t be asking. I still remember Bryan detailing their doubling of capabilities, years ago. I’ve been shooting for a long time. There are not more of us buying match bullets. There are fewer of us.

Double edged sword when the wife gloms onto your hobby, race cars especially, ask me how I know.
But sharing the shooting bug should be universal, and as with all wives, cherished.
Lucky man my friend
